It was just two weeks ago that our older son's teacher contacted us about an issue at school. Today it was our younger son's turn.
Apparently, he hatched a plan to get out of school early by feigning a hurt knee. He told his teacher that he had to go see the nurse. He then told the nurse that his teacher sent him down to the nurse because he wasn't feeling well.
Good plan if you're hoping to go home early.
Very bad plan if the school nurse talks with the teacher.
And she did.
Uh-oh.
I got the call from the teacher this afternoon upon the kids' return from their day at school. I talked to both boys about behavior, lying, respect, blah, blah, blah...and brought them to Religious Education for the afternoon. As if God was speaking through the RE teachers and directly to our little one, the lesson was all about being aware of your conscience, honesty and doing the right thing.
It couldn't have come at a better time. They may not be interested in following my rules but I had pretty strong backing from the Big Man.

Oh boy, no pun intended. I'm sure they'll fall in line whenthe big man talks.
Nothing like RE to scare the pants off of them. Good thinking!
