His posts also inspired me to update you all on our young dog, Scout. Scout has gotten some bad press - mostly from me, and I thought I owed it to her to tell you how nice and calm she has become. She isn't yet 18 months old but is already settling down nicely. She's smart, sweet, affectionate and lovable. We got lucky with this one. She's a great dog.
She is watching our younger son trying to crack a nut while he sits on a rock in our backyard.
Here she is snuggling with our older son while he lounges on the floor Thanksgiving morning.
And here are both dogs lying in front of the fire on Thanksgiving.
