Hello Again...

Hi Kim,

I am thinking I should write to you directly since you are my only follower and have stayed that way since May 13, 2009, the date of my last entry. Thank you, my friend.

You may have noticed that we recently left facebook. I loved the humorous posts and reconnected with some great people...BUT...on the homefront, it wasn't doing us any good. One or the other of us, often both, had our laptop open and was more engaged in what was going on in the land of virtual high school than we were with our own lives.

Since then, I've been giving thought to resurrecting my blog. I enjoy going back and reading some long ago posts and, while I had beaten myself up at the time over my poor writing, I realize it doesn't matter if I can't write well at all. I just need to write for myself as a snapshot of what goes on in my life. I can no longer depend on my ever-decreasing memory to pull these snippits from the recesses of my mind and make me smile.

So, starting with the new year, I will try to write a little something every day - or as often as I can.

I'm glad to be back. Hope to hear from you.

So ya know, you have at least 2 followers. I can't remember how I first found this blog, but I'm glad to know you're getting back into it. That's something I need to try and do with my own blog and podcast. Happy NY.

I can't believe this!

I was actually reading my sister some of your funny posts on facebook about 'da bears'. As I scrolled down I noticed someone mentioned your blog.

"What!?! Her blog?" I thought. I had continually checked it and sometime last year I gave up hope.

I did notice a few weeks ago that you were absent from fb and thought that you might just be stepping back for awhile.

When I read this first post, I was again smiling because of our similarites. In fact I wrote a post very similiar to this just after the first of the year:

I, too, got caught up in my poor writing, over usage of commas, .....'s and the occasional misspelled word. However, at Christmas I opened a gift from my mom - my blog, in four hardbound books. I loved reading the day to day stuff...memories I had forgotten.

So, I am trying to write more-even if it isn't entertaining to others, it will be to me...if not now, then years from now.

SOOOO glad you are back!
