Bob is starting Jenny Craig with the hope of losing 40+ pounds. Me? Rather than setting one large resolution, I suggested to my boys that we set smaller, monthly resolutions. Hopefully, these smaller resolutions will lead to greater successes.
I have always suffered from the winter blues. As I get older, this just gets worse. Last year, I swore I wouldn't -- couldn't -- live through another winter here.
Well, here I am, still in the bitterly-cold, gray suburb of Chicago but I've decided not to wait for winter to tighten its grip on me. I am going to stay active, start a home decorating project. Be positive. Enjoy these down months at home by getting organized.
January Resolution: Think happy.

Good luck, Jackie!!
I'm not a big fan of winter here either, hope you stay positive. Spring will be here soon.

As someone who has just lost 40 pounds, with 5 more to go, I wish Bob luck. My best advice is to track calories and exercise using the lose-it app or website (both are free) and to cut out as many processed foods and fast foods as possible. You kitchen scale is your friend, friend.
I am signing up for Weight Watchers, tonight!!!! Small world (no pun intended)!
My friend Mark lost a ton of weight (no pun intended), and that has always inspired me!
I need to loose 30 pounds... that is my goal...
as for dark, gray winters... the blow (pun intended...)!
Oh, I'll lose it!!!!! Thanks James. I need to for health as well as my own self image. I am not used to being as big as a house and it is startling to see pictures of myself. I have to do it.
I think I'm going to invite Steve to the blog...
: )
HA!!!!
