Fun in the North Woods

Well, I made it through Saturday even though I cried off and on throughout the day. We had an emotional goodbye, not just a drive by and wave goodbye as planned. By 5pm, I was emotionally exhausted and crashed in the upper bunk of the RV for a good couple of hours. I was really tired and feeling quite loopy -- like someone had slipped a mickey into my chicken and "dumplins" at Cracker Barrel. So much for my 10-pound challenge. By the time we get home, it'll be a twenty-pound challenge.

Anyway, our campsite is great, right on the lake. We rented a pontoon so the boys could fish. The only fish caught was a mini blue gill while TMS was instructing the little ones on how to reel...1-2-3-pull, 1-2-3-pull.... Zoe found this fish quite fascinating and wanted to have an early dinner. She got attacked by the numerous biting flies and had to go ashore earlier than the rest of us. She really prefers the comfort of the air conditioned coach anyway. Pampered pet.

Today we dropped the boys off at the International Wolf Center for a day camp. TMS and I played a round of golf. It was really relaxing. Now we're blogging away in the Ely Surf Shop.
