Timber-The only way I know how to post pictures is in a brand new post. Here are photos of the acutal hairstyle vs. what I would've suggested she do. The problem with updos is that in the future they'll look dated. I always think a bride should wear her hair in a similar manner as their everyday style.

I like up-do's, but I do agree that if not done right, they will look dated. For instance, I got married in 2000, and I wore my hair up. Looking back at the pictures it isn't necessarily the fact that my hair is up that I don't like, as much as the way the front part blended into the updo. At the time it was perfectly acceptable, but now definately dated. I think there are some updo's that are naturally timeless.
However, if my hair looked like the first photo, I would ALWAYS wear it down. Is that a picture of you after the color, tan and other procedures? :)
Interesting that TSK thinks brides should wear their hair close to their normal style. I really only had one opinion for our wedding and that was that she wear her hair down like she always did. I show up the day of the wedding and it is up. Now she looked (and looks) beautiful like that as well and her hair was wonderful, but perhaps TSK should practice what she preaches!
I DEMANDED that Mrs. TBF wear her hair down for our wedding. There is NOTHING worse than when the bride wears her hair up so tight that it makes her look cross-eyed.
MT-I sure look different all glammed-up, don't I? My hair is so thin that if I ever wore my hair like that woman, it would just look ratty. I'm envious that you say you have enough hair for 10 people.
I like to think that I wore my hair in one of those timeless up-do's you mention. TMS is right, I did blatantly go against his wishes.
Yous broads is outta control, but I don't blame ya goin' against dat TMS's wishes...he's a feg!

King a ma jig-
Get back to me when you get your own blog.
I spent months growing my hair out so I could have long, flowing locks on the big day. However, when that day came, I found myself with it all tightly pulled up. I guess even the best of plans...
We'll see who's da last one standin' d'ere Whitey!

Bring it on, tubby.
Princess, I did the same thing. I ended up with an up-do when TMS specifically asked me not to. Sometimes you have to go against their wishes for beauty's sake.
