I'm interested in seeing the results of KF and BB. You've said it's very rural where you live.

You must not have answered correctly...don't forget what applies to me, applies to you as well. I think we're both 10%.

I had to take it twice just to make sure. I am actually only 15%. I know some people who would score MUCH higher.

Maybe I am more refined than I thought I was. :)

Come on, after numberous stops to KFC, McDonal's, Culvers, etc. Red Lobster is a fancy restaurant. They have waiters, don't they? Nowadays that constitutes a fancy restaurant to me. I secretly LOVE the food too.

That is what I thought. My three yes's were
1. Red Lobster is fancy compared to McDonald's
2. I HAVE drove a tractor
3. I HAVE went hunting with my husband. Once, and only once. It was back when we were dating. We were IN LOVE, you know the type of love where you would follow them anywhere. (He doesn't even hunt anymore. I am training him well.)

Did you read on my blog that the funeral home is getting someone from up in your neck of the woods? I don't guess your neighbors name is Ed is it? Or that he works at a funeral home in Orlan Park, IL?

That would be too much of a coincidence.

OK this is too weird. Our neighbor's name is Ed but he works at a place in Park Ridge. What a coincidence!

I haven't even got out a map to see where it was....they just said it was by Chicago.

You're right - as a whole, the south suburbs are definitely blue-collar when compared to the north and northwest suburbs. However, FYI...Orland Park is actually pretty middle to upper-middle class. I would say that the home prices there are fairly equal to those in your town - as are the prices in a lot of towns in the south suburbs. The difference "down there" is that there are many more poor towns mixed into the area than there are in the n and nw suburbs. For example, if you leave your house in Orland Park, twenty minutes later you're driving through Robbins which is pretty much Hell on Earth...as are Ford Heights (wow!), Dixmoor (depressing), etc.
Believe me...I spent seven years of my life driving around da sout' suburbs. There are a lot of nice areas.

I never said the south suburbs were upper or lower class, just that the people there are different.

I never said they were upper or lower class either. Nor did I say that you said it.
